Model ISA-2 is an intrinsically safe alarm annunciator suitable for Group IIA, IIB or IIC application as per IS/IEC 60079-11:2006. This design is tested and certified by the only authorities in India viz. CIMFR-Dhandabad & CCOE-Nagpur. The Split type design comprises of
i) Intrinsically safe power supply unit suitable for SAFE AREA location and
ii) annunciator logic with LED display window located in Hazardous area.
IS annunciators are available for input supply of 24V DC OR 90 to 270V AC/DC supply. The available sequences are auto, manual or first out seq. The numbers of points per cabinet are four to Eighty points in various configurations. Three LEDs per window are provided, since filament lamps are obsolete & not permitted in Hazardous area location. Pneumatic hooter with flame proof solenoid valve is available for audible alarm in hazardous area location
Mounting & Installation Procedure :
Ensure the panel Cutout/s made for annunciator unit/s are as per drawing enclosed. Before installation check all sub-assemblies for transit damages if any. Install the Annunciator unit on the panel. Fix mounting clamps to secure the Annunciator unit in position. Check powerpack unit which is to be mounted separately in Safe Area. Fix the powerpack unit by means of screw and nuts. Remove the Annunciator Rear Cover and Powerpack Front Cover. Refer to external connection drawings for Annunciator & powerpack unit. Connect wire for pushbuttons to the Annunciator. Also interconnect Annunciator unit with powerpack unit as per external wiring diagram. Connect supply incoming and hooter cables to Powerpack Unit. Do not connect any signal contact cables. Proceed further as per ‘Testing Procedure’ given under : (3)
Possible Faults and Rectifiction
|Rectification procedure for various possible faults which may occur,--- during commissioning, is given below:|
|1||Annunciator is totally off||a) Check input supply voltage.
b) Check Power Supply Fuse.
c) Open terminal plate & check wires for open conditions
d) Follow standard fault finding procedure by checking filter capacitor, bridge rectifier diodes; transformer etc.
|2||Flashing condition without audible
for all modules.
|a) Check Hooter fuse, Hooter supply and Hooter itself.
b) Check Audible Relay(located in power supply unit) for contact operation.
c) Replace Flasher Module
|3||Annunciator windows remain off (any one or more)||a) Check Supply output from power pack unit for those windows.
b) Replace seq. Modules for those windows.
c) Check LEDs by usinsg a multi-meter.
|4||During Fault/Test operation for all windows LED remain
steady on without flashing but Audible comes on.
|a) Replace flasher module.|
